Rome is surely the most scenic town in the world. Nowhere else you will find imposing monuments, countless churches, sights, wonderful piazzas, thousand fountains and masterpieces, scenic hills and parks. There are many viewpoints in Rome (click here to see the specific page with photos on them). Yet you will always miss some sight, and since no other town has countless things to explore, we thought of preparing sightseeing flying tours over the Eternal City and the Roman Castles (and further beyond upon request)! No viewpoint can match the view from an aeroplane! This wonderful and economic service is *only for Roman Homes customers*.

The 3-8 seated aeroplanes take off from the Urbe airport in Via Salaria, near the city centre (where our efficient and economic car service will bring you). The aircrafts have high wings, and fly at an altitude of 450 Mts. (1,500 Ft.), both factors allowing you to see the streets, the monuments, and all Rome's sights. The airline company has many aircrafts of various type and size (Cessna, Partenavia, Piper, Siai), and helicopters, carrying groups of all sorts, from 2 to 8 persons.

 
There are two flying tours: one over Rome, and another over the Roman Castles. Each lasts 20 minutes, over 40 Km (25 miles) of exciting panoramic flight. Passengers flying for the first time receive a "First Flight" testimonial.
Flights occur on day time, from dawn to sunset, holidays included. They are subject to reservation for groups of minimum two passengers.

The price is 120.000 Liras (app. 53 US$ or 62 Euros or 36 UKP) per person (taxes included). The service is ONLY FOR ROMAN HOMES® CUSTOMERS.
Rome's URBE airport is different from Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" airport, or from Ciampino airport. It is on the Via Salaria, 5 kilometers (3 miles) far from downtown, a 20 minutes drive. So it is nearer to the city centre. You will necessarily have to use also our efficient and cost-effective car service, who will pick you from your apartment or residence, and bring you to the airport, wait for your flight, and bring you back. HOW IT WORKS. You will be able to choose the time of the flying tour when filling-in the enquiry form below.

Once you will fill-in the form and you click "submit", it will arrive at "Roman Homes®". We will check that all data are filled-in and that everything is in good order. We will organize the service with the airline company, and we will send you a confirmation message, in which we will also give you the telephone n. of the staff at the airport. In fact, they require that one or two days before the flight you call to confirm it. Moreover, we will give them the telephone n. of your apartment, because if there is bad weather the flights are stopped, and they will call to inform you. For the same reason, it is always better that before you leave to the airport you call them to double check. Payment is done at the airline premises, before the flight. They prefer to be paid cash, in ITL (or US$ or UKP with an exchange fee).

(10) You also have to book the CAR SERVICE FROM THE APARTMENT TO THE AIRPORT, AND RETURN. It will cost you: 140,000 ITL for groups up to 4 persons (61.4 US$ or 72 Euros or 42 UKP, the car will be a Mercedes Deluxe Sedan), 160,000 ITL for groups up to 6 person (70 US$ or 82.6 Euros or 48 UKP, the car will be a Chrysler VAN or Mercedes VAN), and 200,000 ITL for groups up to 8 persons (88 US$ or 103 Euros or 60 UKP, the car will be a Mercedes Minibus).
If you require BOTH tours (Rome and Roman Castles), you have to pay a waiting fee of 40,000 ITL (app. 17.5 US$ or 20.65 Euros or 12 UKP).
HOW TO ORGANIZE IT: Just go to the CAR SERVICE FORM and fill in your name etc., and *indicate in the Comment Space that you have booked the flying tour, which flying tour you have booked, and also the time in which you want to be picked up to be brought to the airport*.
The driver will pick you up at the apartment, will bring you to the URBE airport and to the hangar of the airline company. He will wait at the airport that your flying tour is over, and will bring you back to the apartment or residence.

CityFly® offers also an air taxi service. In fact there are many locations in Italy very hard to reach with surface or sea transport, and whose airports are not served by regular airlines.
For ex. one hour is enough to reach the Emerald Coast in Sardinia. Also the inaccessible and beautiful Corsica can be reached in one hour, while there are no direct airline flights to it from central Italy, and there is only a very time consuming ferry service from Leghorn (Livorno).
