PRESENTATION

Rome's airport is 20 kilometers (12.5 miles) far from downtown. It takes a 40-45 minutes drive to get to the centre (at least). If you arrive by train, there are two stations in Rome: Termini (main) and Tiburtina. The first is not far from the centre, yet the car service will be very useful to find your way and to avoid getting lost in the big confusion (it is Europe's largest station).

The car service is extremely professional, attentive and courteous. The advantages are:
- The driver will wait for you just out of the customs area at the airport, or at the beginning of the track in the train station, with a board with your name.
- He will bring you straight to the apartment without requiring instructions.
- He will be in constant phone feedback with us, informing us of possible delays, and in any case when you are in the car ready to go to your destination. The driver will also present to you the daily excursions they could organize to Pompeii, Tivoli, Sorrento etc.
- If you book before arriving in Rome also the return service (1) you will benefit from big discounts, which will make the car service cost like a taxi - or less (2) best of all, the driver in this case will be an assistant of Roman Homes, performing hence also the check-in and check-out at the apartment. You will meet hence just after customs the person assisting you in such delicate stages of your stay, explaining to you how the apartment works, and performing the financial and contract matters. No one else will offer you this individual and knowledgeable service!

Remember that also with taxies you pay supplements for every suitcase, for early and late service, and also for service on Sunday and holidays, and so at the end you would probably pay more. Without forgetting that you would have to find the taxi, and the taxies would have to find the properties! This means more time and strain.

PRICES

The following prices apply only to Roman Homes customers, as you will be enabled to use our ROME CAR SERVICE. We also serve non-Roman Homes customers, with a supplement (please enquire). Prices vary depending on the number of persons, the car used, if it is an arrival or return service, and if you use both arrival and return service (in this case you benefit of a discount, making it cost like a taxi, with a much better service).

(A) IF YOU ARE UP TO 4 PERSONS:

- From the airport to the apartment will cost you 60 Euro. From the train station 35 Euro.

(B) IF YOU ARE UP TO 4 PERSONS, or if you are loaded with luggage, you will need a small van.
- From the airport to the apartment will cost you 80 Euro. The car will be either a Mercedes Van, or a Chrysler Van. From the train station the cost is 45 Euro.

(C) IF YOU ARE UP TO 8 PERSONS, or if you are packed with luggage, you will need a Mercedes Minibus.
- From the airport to the apartment the price is 90 Euro.
- From and to the train station the price is 55 Euro.

EARLY / LATE SERVICE: Before 7 am or after 10 pm there is a supplement of 15 Euro. There is no supplement for suitcases, and there is no supplement also for service on Sunday and holidays.

A possible negative aspect is that if your plane is late there is a 10 Euro per hour fee to pay to the driver waiting for you. The drivers check before leaving if the plane is late, and they are very patient with our customers. They try to be as flexible as possible, making our customer pay the fee only if no other way was possible to avoid waiting.
On the other hand prices of the car service are fixed, also in the year 2001, (while with taxies there are many variables - luggage for which a supplement is asked, etc.-, and rumours of price increase). Moreover, the cars of "Rome Car ServiceŽ" have air conditioning, the drivers are very professional and with knowledge of English.
