In Rome there are more than 50 museums, numerous art galleries and countless monuments. We will present the most interesting.
Vatican Museums
Viale della Mura Vaticane. Mind you that in Italian the expression is "museums"
and not museum. In fact there are six museums to visit. So plan to come early and stay
until the closing time. For this reason it is better that you visit S. Peter's Basilica
another other day, or when you exit the museums.
The opening time is between 8.45 AM and 1 PM, Monday through
Saturday. The last Sunday of the month the Museums are not only open but also free.
Between April 1st and June 14th, September 2nd - October 31st the
opening time is Monday to Friday 8.45 AM - 4 PM. As usual the last Sunday of the
month it is open and free.
The ticket cost is £ 15.000. For students (with official University Card, or
International Student Card) £ 10000.
