FESTIVALS
| Festivals open in the villas and gardens in Rome (with stages, bars, restaurants, shows, discos etc. whithin them), particularly in the Villa Borghese, along the Tiber quays (TevereExpo), the area around the Caracalla ruins (the Festa dell'Unità, of the Left Democratic Party, a very exciting festival and a traditional event, very popular). The festivals last usually at least one month, but the one about Latin America music and culture at the horse race resort of Rome (Capannelle) will last this year until the end of August. |

S. Lorenzo
An old popular quarter and presently also a university district. You will find many
authentic pubs and bars full of local youths. It is 10 mins walk South of Termini station.
Most discos, theatres and cinemas close in August but are replaced by open air
entertainement resorts, like "Sotto le stelle di San Lorenzo" (under the stars
of S. Lorenzo) in a little park in Via Tiburtina. Walk along the segment of the Via
Tiburtina bordering the quarter and you will find it.
